Great place to stay! We stayed for a week in order to deer hunt at the Hill Country State Natural Area. The owners were very nice. I didn't know how to use WIFI and they helped me. They didn't even mind that I stayed in their lobby all afternoon to visit. We are even considering buying a Lifetime Lease!

We vsited your lovely campground in September, 2008. My only fault I found was since I liv in Pennsylvania it is too far away. It is the most friendly campground I have ever stayed at. Everyone made you feel so welcome. I would have loved to spentmore time and heard more of the front porch stories. Thank you so much for good memories of our trip. Tom and BJ Frampton

First lets thank Donna and Doug for doing a great job running this campground. We are Kenny and Colleen, Brianna 11, Kenny 5. This campground is absolutly beautiful and clean. The campsites are very large. There are grassy fields on every level which makes it very easy to watch your kids. Fishing and swimming on the river is the best weve ever been too, and weve been to alot of campgrounds on rivers and lakes. Games and wagon rides are awesome for the kids. Pavilion and pool are very nice. The dj saturday night and it "rocked". The horseshoe tournament on Sunday was absolutly the best tounament ever. 3 beers and a dream lol! 37 teams 100 spectaters and a whole lot of fun for the whole family. All of the campers thare that we met are very nice people. Wooooooo!!!!! Only 1 downfall.......golfcarts are not aloud. Any questions feel free to email us.

Don't look for a lake at Lakeside RV Park, it exists only in the minds of the owners (but there is a fake lake pictured on their website to lure unsuspecting travelers). There is junk, heavy equipment, abandoned vehicles and mobile homes scattered all over the campground, its a real mess. The owners monitor internet access on their WI-FI network and disclosed information to a local businessman that I had included in personal emails. A previous camper posted a negative review of the park, for which I was falsely blamed, and the owner Butch Hanvey threated me hours before my departure. The owner of the park and a drunk who works for him have made repeated attempts to tarnish my reputation locally. This is definitely a park (and park owners) to avoid - there are several very nice parks nearby where you won't have to look at piles of junk every time you go outside.

This is one of the greatest areas to take a kayak, camp next to the lake, hike. I wish I could be there every week.

August 12th was our third Wedding Anniversary. We planned Friday, August 14 to canoe at Taylors Falls and stay one night at Waub-o=Jeeg. Due to an unexpected work related meeting, we rescheduled with the camp owner our August 14th reservation to August 21st. Today is August 20th and Minnesota is getting the rain that was needed during the whole summer. With the rain situation, we decided to reschedule our weekend plans to September 11th (oh dear 911). I called the owner the evening of August 20th and I found this family owned camp site would not work with me to reschedule our reservations to September 11th. I was told I was suppose to give them a 48 hour cancellation notice. I am not canceling, I am giving them a 24 hour rescheduling date notice. So with this unethical business practice with no cancellation policy on their website or not receiving an email or written reservation confirmation, that we felt that Nu Gamble can charge us the one night camping fee and we will not utilize their campgrounds EVER. We will take our business elsewhere. So I am giving you this warning on how a family run business does everything verbally, no email confirmation ( I received email confirmation for our canoe rental at Wild Mountain). no written cancellation policy on the website or email. Also I have been unemployed due to the bad economy (I even earned my second degree in May to help myself find work), my husband has a demanding job on top of working on his MBA to help better his future, we were turned down on not taking the reschedule date. How unethical to take our money! I am warning you future campers.

I don't even know where to start. This was the WORST campground I've ever been to. This park was a converted campsite that added the "Yogi/Jellystone" to there name. The campsites where small and too close together to eachother. They claimed the site that I paid for could fit 3 tents but it didn't. In comparison, the 2 sites I had in New Hampshire were much bigger than their 2. The staff treated us like trash and didn't seem to want to help us. The campsite was dirty upon arrival and had WAY too many leaves and pine cones. The supplied water was a joke. I don't advise ANYONE to drink it. I comes out brown in color. The fire "rules" was the killer. Fires can only be started after 4:30P and must be out by 12A. These are strictly inforced by there employees and supposely the local fire department. The park wasn't tent friendly at all. The beach on the other hand was fairly decent. It was a couple on man-made lakes that featured an island in the middle. Within the marked poles, you can walk in waist deep water to the island. On the sides on the island, the depth of the lake reached about 15ft. As for the activities, there weren't any! I mean waiting for 4:30 to come was horrible. If they would have listed this on the website, I don't think anyone would even go to this place. The other Jellystone parks are much better. If you think that this one will be on par, your in for a rude awakening. This park just bares the Yogi name and that's it. The Jellystone in NH and this one on the Cape, are like night and day. Fellow campers were very friendly. Don't waste your money or time with this camp park.

Very nice primitive tenting sites which were fully shaded, quiet and fairly private. Short walk to outhouses & water. It rained most of our stay and the sandy soil kept us pretty dry. Nice shower amenities with hot water. After making our reservation, the owner, Nu Gamble, followed up with a phone call to ensure all our info was correct & answer questions. They also kindly accommodated our late returns by opening the camp gate for us after 10pm. We will camp here again. Thanks Nu & Jon!

Had a great time here with our friends (3 Motor Homes in our Group). The 50 amp sites were more than just spacious.... level and shaded, too. The new bath House was always very clean, and the laundry room sure came in handy (with having all the kids!). The campground activity that weekend was the "Scavanger Hunt", and my sister won a $25.00 prize! Our men had a lot of fun Bass Fishing in the Juniata River, while our kids and Grandma took a ride on the Historic Canal Boat. Very educational and the kids even got to play "captain" and steer the boat! We'll be back next year for sure. Thanks, Locust!
