Great place to stay! We stayed for a week in order to deer hunt at the Hill Country State Natural Area. The owners were very nice. I didn't know how to use WIFI and they helped me. They didn't even mind that I stayed in their lobby all afternoon to visit. We are even considering buying a Lifetime Lease!

We vsited your lovely campground in September, 2008. My only fault I found was since I liv in Pennsylvania it is too far away. It is the most friendly campground I have ever stayed at. Everyone made you feel so welcome. I would have loved to spentmore time and heard more of the front porch stories. Thank you so much for good memories of our trip. Tom and BJ Frampton

First lets thank Donna and Doug for doing a great job running this campground. We are Kenny and Colleen, Brianna 11, Kenny 5. This campground is absolutly beautiful and clean. The campsites are very large. There are grassy fields on every level which makes it very easy to watch your kids. Fishing and swimming on the river is the best weve ever been too, and weve been to alot of campgrounds on rivers and lakes. Games and wagon rides are awesome for the kids. Pavilion and pool are very nice. The dj saturday night and it "rocked". The horseshoe tournament on Sunday was absolutly the best tounament ever. 3 beers and a dream lol! 37 teams 100 spectaters and a whole lot of fun for the whole family. All of the campers thare that we met are very nice people. Wooooooo!!!!! Only 1 downfall.......golfcarts are not aloud. Any questions feel free to email us.

Don't look for a lake at Lakeside RV Park, it exists only in the minds of the owners (but there is a fake lake pictured on their website to lure unsuspecting travelers). There is junk, heavy equipment, abandoned vehicles and mobile homes scattered all over the campground, its a real mess. The owners monitor internet access on their WI-FI network and disclosed information to a local businessman that I had included in personal emails. A previous camper posted a negative review of the park, for which I was falsely blamed, and the owner Butch Hanvey threated me hours before my departure. The owner of the park and a drunk who works for him have made repeated attempts to tarnish my reputation locally. This is definitely a park (and park owners) to avoid - there are several very nice parks nearby where you won't have to look at piles of junk every time you go outside.

This is one of the greatest areas to take a kayak, camp next to the lake, hike. I wish I could be there every week.
